ABOUT US
Our Story
Lone Horse Lavender is a boutique lavender farm nestled in the foothills of Durango, CO.
Welcome to Lone Horse Lavender, our family-run lavender farm in Durango, Colorado. With more than 500 lavender plants spanning 10 different cultivars, we’re passionate about growing lavender with culinary and medicinal qualities and sharing its many uses with our community.
From beauty and wellness to cooking and baking, our products are thoughtfully crafted using the highest-quality ingredients we can find. We grow and harvest our own lavender with care, then create products that celebrate its versatility—from handcrafted skincare essentials to culinary lavender and delicious creations for the kitchen.
Our farm also features a beautifully curated greenhouse, creating a welcoming space for special gatherings and events. Throughout the year, we host educational seminars, Lavender 101 classes, distillation workshops, and other unique experiences designed to share this special space and create meaningful moments together.
Thank you for visiting us and taking a little time to get to know us. We hope to welcome you to the farm soon!
Meet the family
LONE HORSE LAVENDER
We’re a family-run lavender farm rooted in our love for Durango and the special place we’re fortunate to call home. As a graduate of Fort Lewis College, returning to Durango has always held a special meaning for my family and me. In 2023, we moved back to the area and discovered a beautiful piece of property in a truly special part of Durango.
As we settled in, we discovered that lavender is wonderfully suited to the dry conditions of our Southwestern climate. What started as a lavender obsession grew into a family passion, and before long, we were planting, learning, and dreaming about ways to share it with others.
Today, Lone Horse Lavender is a family affair, with my husband, Bobby, our two kids, Zoe and Logan, and our four-legged farm supervisor, Obi, by our side. Every part of our journey—from growing the lavender and creating our botanical products to designing our logo and packaging—has been thoughtfully done in-house with the help, creativity, and love of our family and friends.
We’re excited to share our farm, our lavender, and this special place with you, and we hope you’ll visit us soon!
