Our Scandinavian-designed and beautifully curated greenhouse provides a beautiful setting for intimate events, celebrations, and educational workshops.

We grow and thoughtfully source the highest-quality botanicals and ingredients for our skincare, crafting each product in small batches with care, without harmful ingredients, synthetic dyes, or unnecessary additives.
Beyond our lavender fields, the farm is home to a medicinal garden, fruit and hawthorn trees, a vibrant pollinator garden, a working still, and a beautifully curated greenhouse.
Still
We affectionately call our copper still ‘Ms. Sarah,’ named after Sarah Sprules who in 1886 was appointed by Queen Victoria as ‘Purveyor of Lavender Essence to the Queen.’

I am the owner and co-founder behind Lone Horse Lavender.
What started as a small obsession with all things lavender has turned into a thriving family-run business nestled in the mountains of Durango, CO.
My background in education and chemistry started at Fort Lewis College. This led me to explore and specialize in a wide range of medicinal and culinary varieties of lavender.

Welcome to Lone Horse Lavender, our family-run lavender farm in Durango, Colorado. With more than 500 lavender plants spanning 10 different cultivars, we’re passionate about growing lavender with culinary and medicinal qualities and sharing its many uses with our community.
Our farm also features a beautifully curated greenhouse, creating a welcoming space for special gatherings and events. Throughout the year, we host educational seminars, Lavender 101 classes, distillation workshops, and other unique experiences designed to bring people together.
